Jim was awesome! Very personable and fun to visit with - a genuine good guy. He also really knows pianos! Ours was a fairly routine tuning job, but he was very thorough and the piano sounds like new again (you don't want a piano tuner who is in a hurry). I really enjoyed learning much more about how pianos operate and how they are properly tuned along the way (and I love to learn : ) Highly recommend Jim for any piano maintenance needs.

Jim Farris did a phenomenal job tuning and regulating our piano. It was more of a restoration. The piano's rail in the keyboard had been damaged in a move from Germany, It had not been regulated in almost twenty-nine years. Jim got it tuned to be playable in time for Christmas (it was more than a tuning) and then came back to finish the regulation. IT PLAYS LIKE NEW, and with a son and daughter-in-law who are both very good pianists (the daughter-in-law is VERY particular and teaches piano), they are thrilled! Jim also explained every aspect of what he was doing which we greatly appreciated. On top of all this, his fee was very reasonable (we had spoken with other potential professional technicians ahead of time). All of this just conveys his love for the piano and the music it can produce (he plays very well himself). Jim has my highest recommendation and will have all of our future business. You will not go wrong with him!

Jim was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. He taught my family and I a lot about our piano and it was an overall lovely experience. Definitely recommend !
